Allan originally sold PDI Global to H&R Block in 1998, buying it back in 2008, and then selling it again to Thomson Reuters in 2011. Prior to that, Allan was a Partner in the Chicago-based accounting and consulting firm of FERS, where he served as the leader of the Investment Banking Group, as well as the Law Firm Consulting Group. At age 27, Allan had the distinction of being named the youngest partner in the history of the firm and was also a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. FERS was acquired by H&R Block in 1998.
He is a founding member of The Advisory Board, a think tank for the accounting profession. For 20 years The Advisory Board has hosted the Winning Is Everything Conference. Allan has served on various advisory boards, including SS&G, Outsource Partners International (OPI), the Association for Accounting Marketing (AAM), the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA), H&R Block (HRB Business Services) and ComplyGlobal.
Koltin is the author-editor of three books for professional services firms: CPA Firm Merger Strategies That Work, CPAs That Sell and the AICPA’s Marketing a Consulting Niche. Allan attended both the University of Wisconsin – Madison and the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee and received degrees in accounting and marketing. Angela conducts detailed searches in targeted markets for successful CPA firms looking to explore the possibilities of an upstream merger. After initiating contact to determine the firm’s level of interest, she coordinates exploratory calls with KCG’s CEO.
Prior to this, Angela conducted all research assignments for the firm’s Talent Representation practice. Since joining KCG in 2013, Angela successfully executed research for a diverse array of Talent Representation assignments in public accounting, financial services, and in other areas of professional services.
Before joining the Koltin Consulting Group, Angela applied her multi-faceted experience in several industries, including financial services, consumer goods, and human resources consulting.
Angela earned her Bachelor of Arts in Human Resources Training and Development from Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago, Illinois. In addition, Angela earned a Master’s of Arts in Counseling from Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois, and a Certificate in Human Resources Management from Sheridan College in Sheridan, Wyoming. Angela is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Illinois. She currently lives in Chicago with her husband.

Donna has been with KCG for 25 years. During that time, she coordinated and executed four office moves, implemented two corporate name changes and assisted in the divestiture of the firm’s publishing division.
She provides oversight and administration in areas of compensation, benefits, employee procedures, HR programs and policies, staffing/recruiting, and training/development. She is also responsible for planning, development, and implementation of all aspects of the human resources programs, policies, objectives, and initiatives in collaboration with the CEO. She enjoys the challenge of assisting clients with internal employee development initiatives.
Donna also manages accounts payable/receivables in their relation to cash flow, prepares commission calculations and assists with budgets and the monthly financial closing. Additionally, she assists the CEO with various aspects of his consulting engagements.
Donna holds a degree in Business Administration from Purdue University. She volunteers by mentoring college students transitioning into the workforce. Donna lives in Northwest Indiana and enjoys spending time with her two new granddaughters.
